Parting

Parting

I look at a leaf
As it falls to the ground
Its all alone now
All alone now to die
I look to myself
As the sun glints off my cross
Once the symbol faith
Now my soul battles lost
I reach out my hand
But no-one is there
I let out a cry
That no-one can hear
I look again to the sky
Stretching on out forever
Life is not like that
It wont be…..not ever
I whisper his name
But there is no reply
Alone like the leaf
Deserted to die
I looke into my mind
I must take on my fears
I hold in my breath
But I cant stop my tears
I reach out again
For one final try
I whisper to the wind
Cant you please tell me why
So I say goodbye now
For the ending is soon
Though its not with the sun
But by the light of the moon
