So we had our good friends Mike and Mon stay on the weekend. Mon is pregnant at the moment and it made me think about my pregnancy with Kaeden and in those late weeks what I wouldn’t have been without. So here are my top things
1. Big comfy blue chair (having somewhere comfy to sit that doubled as a leaning post during those strong braxton hicks)
2. Triangle pillow (so useful for sleeping wrapped around. Hugs the tummy and gives your upper body some support)
3. Swiss ball (back relief need I say more?)
4. Sudoku puzzle book
5. Video Ezy subscription
6. Lemon Tree (lemon squeezed into distilled water….a must to keep from going insane from glass after glass of water)
7. CSI, CSI Miami, CSI New York, Bones…etc etc (Lots of mindless TV to watch when the brain just doesn’t want to think for itself after a night of waking and peeing)
8. David Eddings and Isobelle Carmody books (pages and pages of reading in 2 easy to read series)
9. Pregnancy pants (Joey in Friends and Comic Book Guy in the Simpson’s are right….no great comfort than comfy pregnancy pants!!)
10. LAPTOP (For contact, for fun and for numerous places to get answers to all those silly questions and worries you have in those last days but feel a bit silly asking a real person!!)

Raven – Magic – OWN your power

Okay we have this one again. It’s not jumping out at me. Well I guess in some ways it is. I’ve been thinking alot about our next child. Feeling kind of odd the last few days with headaches, tiredness, dizziness, loss of appetite. Its all reminding me of being pregnant. I want another kid and I don’t want them too far apart. But I am so scared about it. Mainly the “can I cope” issues of having two children to look after and not having Al at home like he was for Kaeden. I know everyone copes but I don’t want to just cope. I want to have an awesome family with children that have the attention and support they deserve and still have time for me, and for Al.

I need to take my power as mother and run with it. I need to find the strength to do it. And accept that I can do it. If for no other reason than for my future child. I need to take the steps to prepare my body for it again (lose weight!)

I have the power to be a mother to more than one child. I have the power to be a great mother. I have the power to be mother and still not lose me!!
